My first Feng Shui books
Recently I reorganize my bookshelf, a pair of comb binding photocopy books were drawing my attention. The papers were already turning brown with a little bit dusts. It recalls me a lot of memory.
During that moment, Feng Shui book was not that popular, it was hard to find in a book store. Due to the supply and demand, Feng Shui book can’t earn a dollar for a bookstore, no bookstore owner wanted to waste their space to store the Feng Shui book there.
Only I can found the Feng Shui books were in the public library, and their choice were limited. Only one or two copies they carried. Maximum time you could borrow was 2 weeks. Feng Shui book is not like novel or story book, it is hard to finish reading with fully understanding within 2 weeks. The only solution is either copy by hand or machine.
It was lucky that copy machine was just on the market during that moment, but photocopy machine price was very high and not everyone can afford to buy one, therefore photocopy service became one of the new business. I placed it down to the shop and got it back next day. Price higher than buying a new book but you have no choice.
The people started interesting in Feng Shui were around 1984, there were little bit more choice of Feng Shui book selling in the bookstore. I remember the time of Feng Shui start blooming was around 1990 in Hong Kong. Feng Shui books and magazines were a section in any bookstore. More and more secret copies of Feng Shui books were being published. A new generation of Feng Shui masters were generated on that moment also.
Through the 27 years development, Feng Shui is every where in the worldwide now, reading a Feng Shui book is not as hard as my time. The extra bonus is tone of choice of books we have and most of them are free in ebook format.
