How to Utilize Mr. Joseph Yu’s Calabash Methodology – Part 3Similar to other literatures (in Eastern culture or Western culture), one must do the necessarily grouping and separating of sentences in order to uncover the author’s message. In FeiSingFu飛星賦, we need to group these two sentences as follow:
巽如反臂,總憐流落無歸。乾若懸頭,更痛遭刑莫避。
七有葫蘆之異,醫卜興家。七逢刀盞之形,屠沽居肆。The first two sentences mentioned Soen巽 and Kin乾 which are trigrams, and the last two sentences mentioned “Seven 七”. Hence, when reviewing the four sentences together, it is clear that “Seven 七” is referred to the trigram “Doi兌”.This is an art of writing that was imposed in the Ancient Feng Shui books as the writer did not want the readers to fully understand the content until he disclose the meaning to them or until the readers acquired enough knowledge in Feng Shui to uncover the key themselves.
If Mr. Joseph Yu’s assumption - “Seven 七(Doi兌) equals to Calabash” from “七有葫蘆之異” – is correct, then the other sentence, “七逢刀盞之形”, can be interpreted as “Seven 七(Doi兌) equals to knife刀 or cup盞”. Thus, instead of putting Calabash to solve the sick star #2, you can also place a "knife" or "cup" to solve the sick star#2. Perhaps, Mr. Joseph Yu should examine “his theory” before misleading the public. However, all of us can see that either Mr. Joseph Yu (founder of Feng Shui Research Center) is very ignorant in I-Ching and Feng Shui or he intends to mislead everyone by twisting the original meaning of the sentences! Both ways will end up in a dead-end street!
