My Feng Shui researches 8 - Master Ng Si Ching 吳師青

When we talk about Feng Shui, we cannot omit the astrology, it is because our previous masters admited that if there were the symbols appeared as the stars in the sky, then there were another match symbols as the mountains on the earth. Therefore when we learn the Feng Shui, we also need to learn the astrology on the same time.



Master Ng Si Ching吳師青 was the master who was good for both categories. He lived in Hong Kong and his most activities were around 1920 to 1970. He was a businessman and Feng Shui was his side business. He published several books which included the Feng Shui and Astrology when he was alive.



During this period of time, the living houses had a big change. It changed from single house to high rise building. More and more apartments were erected on the city center of Hong Kong. This kind of change created a challenge for traditional Feng Shui theory and its tool – Law Poon羅盤.



There are many units in one building, how to choose the right unit which fit for the Feng Shui is not easy. Some of the masters who only knew about the compass school, they created a solution by using 5 elements of Ho To河圖 and Lok She洛書 to pick the right Feng Shui house. Many western learners were following this method to pick the Feng Shui units because most of their teachers were learning from a book without any lineages.

Beside that, the building was built with the metals which would affect the accuracy of the compass direction. Without the actual direction, all compass school’s theory becomes useless. Therefore Master Ng Si Ching wrote 2 books to give his solution for it. One of his books called, “Lau Yu Bo Kam 樓宇寶鑑 – Building guideline” and the other book was “How to use sundial as the Law King如何應用日景羅經”. Can it be solve the building’s measuring problem and Feng Shui judgement problem? I just give the room for the readers to test themselves.



He had helped one of the big families – Ma’s family to do a grave in Hong Kong which I have visited for a long time ago with my students. The way he used to bury Ma’s ancestor was using different grave style which showed that he had good knowledge in grave styles because the grave style needed to match the dragon. If you used it wrong, it would reduce the energy of the dragon.
