How does a “Chinese Feng Shui Compass - Lo Pan” coming?

A Chinese Feng Shui compass is a mystery tool for the people; if a Feng Shui master does not carry a Chinese compass, the clients will think that the master is non-professional. The master’s advice will not consider seriously, that is one of the reasons why our previous master builds a Chinese compass and make sure he could receive his consulting fee.

The other reason is our previous master avoids his stupid students have a bad memory to remember all the Feng Shui formula, that’s why he put all the formula tables in the Chinese compass to help his stupid students did it right.

If you can read Chinese and you have a chance to study the history of Feng Shui, you will find our previous masters didn’t carry any Chinese compass with them. They will base on the Sun, Moon, Stars, Mountains, and rivers to decide the direction. In technical Feng Shui terms we call it, “Hoi Sin – Opening the line 開線”. In Feng shui field, we always said, “The top level master reads the stars, middle level master reads the water mouth, low level master turns around on the mountains.” The top level master reads the stars are also mean read the stars in the sky.

When there are no stars, our master used a magnetise needle to find the direction. He floated a needle on the water in a bowl. In technical Feng Shui terms we call it, “Tin Chi Jum – Sky pool needle 天池針”.

If you look at the scripture of Master Yeung, you can not find any compass, only you can find is a bowl that he carries. This bowl was using to carry the water and float the needle.

Nowadays, the middle part of the Chinese Feng Shui Compass, we still call it “Tin Chi Jum – Sky pool needle 天池針” because it is coming from floating a needle in a bowl.
